A very comfortable stay in old school glamour

Spacious room with a comfortable bed, wonderful staff and good amenities. Two of the lifts that access the hotel rooms have a glass window that overlooks the internal atrium, which is pretty cool. Location is convenient - near shops and eateries, 6-8min walk to two MTR stations.

The facilities and decor are dated, but other than that, the high quality of service provided is the same as any other 5 star hotel.

Wonderful

Very Friendly staff. Loved the breakfast buffet. We stayed in the rosewood suite which comprised of two separate rooms. One with two single beds, study desk and TV for the kids, and the other room was much more spacious with a big king bed, TV and lounge.

I have stayed at this hotel several times with my family due to its excellent location, making our stay in Taipei very easy and convenient. Additionally, the airport bus line from Taoyuan Airport provides direct transportation from the airport to the hotel.

The family room is a bit tight for families with 2 kids.

Overall was still a great and recommended stay.

A bit old but considered well managed. With proper refurbishment to the rooms (and common areas) and improved on the facilities, this can be a great hotel to stay. The retail shops are old-fashioned which could either be rebranded (and refurbished too) or be converted into F&B for outsiders.

Great and will come again.

1. Peter at concierge, extended unexpected services to us. 2. Another young guy at the concierge, on duty during 30Oct22 at around 620am shift, put in extra miles by getting us a taxi at last mins to airport as the taxi we arrange earlier had pickup the wrong passenger. We are grateful for both of their extra miles extended to us when we were in need of help. Hope both are recommended by the management. Thanks so much guys.

Everything was fine except the room we stayed in this time was not as clean as previous experience!

Superb

It was a great stay for the price. The staff was very friendly. Every single staff member spoke excellent English. The facilities are a little bit dated, but a very traditional Chinese style. Everything was very very very clean. The pool was a real gem. There's nothing else like it in Taipei.

The dinner buffet was a bit expensive for what was offered. I've been to various hotel buffets in Taipei and for 1200$ I expected more. It should've been no more than 800$.

The doorman crew (especially the old man, forgot his name) was very helpful and professional. The housing did a wonderful job. The room and the shower were clean. The bottled water was filled everyday. The gym was nice. The drinking water and towels offered were thoughtful. I had some business documents sent to the hotel and the front desk left me a reminder note under my room door to go get it. I really appreciate it.

The pool water was stingy. My daughter's eyes were hurting badly. At the mean time there were other people at the poolside experiencing the same. The pool manager checked the water said it was fine but it didn't resolve the issue. I had to use the business rooms in the lobby, the on-site computer was running very super slow then failed and the room was too hot.

Deluxe hotel with experienced and friendly staff, near rapid transit, 101, Sogo and shopping areas.

The exceptional service and the very central & convenient location between the BR and BL rapid transit line.
